The Central Valley Safety Society (CVSS) Board Members are committed to providing safety ideas and solutions to employers in the Central Valley.
CVSS Presidents Message: Since 1996, CVSS has pursued it’s mission facilitating and fostering the exchange of information and ideas among individuals responsible for safety and health at businesses throughout the valley.
I would like to personally thank Ryan Weaver for his commitment to health and safety and to our CVSS members during his tenure as CVSS President. I’d like to publicly welcome our newest board members, Shirley Singer and Dennis Mehas, who are already contributing to discussions about issues that are facing us today.
CVSS will continue to hold its monthly luncheons, January through October. However, beginning in January of 2020, we are changing the lunch meeting day to the second Wednesday of the month. These meetings provide an opportunity to learn and share ideas to inspire health and safety in the workplace and at home. The board is always looking for relevant topics and dynamic speakers for our monthly lunch meetings who can share pertinent environmental, health and safety-related information in an informal environment where questions and audience participation is encouraged.
CVSS is also a great place to network and learn from public sector agencies and local HR, environmental, and health and safety professionals. In addition to the monthly lunch meetings, our annual networking mixer is held each November. This is the board’s way of saying THANK YOU to our members. This event is a member favorite, and a great place to meet new friends who are committed to health and safety, both in the workplace, and off the job. Check out the pictures from past mixers here.
Annual membership dues are still only $100 and enables each of your company’s employees to enjoy the benefits of being CVSS members. Benefits that include:
• a reduced price for our monthly lunch presentations,
• attendance at our annual members-only breakfast meeting, and
• access to the members-only section of our website, which includes the prior months presentations.
We encourage you to join us at CVSS and to attend the monthly luncheons. Together, we can improve the health and safety of both our workplace, and our employees, enabling us to go home to the ones we care about.
